Wildcats take Seventh in State B Tournament

Brook Begeman breaks two State "B" scoring records.


Record after record fell as Brook progessed through his senior year. Three football passing marks fell, three basketball scoring records, and his high school's high jump record all were victim of Begeman this year. He tallied 48 points in Isabel's win over Henry for seventh place honors at the state tourney and his total of 103 point three game tournament performance topped the previous record of 100.

Basketball Records Set

  • Brook's own personal best ppg increased to 48 over his previous 39 points per game set as a junior against Bison; 
  • Isabel High School's single game record of Brook's coach Brent Lindskov of 45 ppg set in a game against Dupree in 1990--Brooks brother Christian and teammate Jeremy Hollow both averaged 20 ppg during that same year. The Wildcats placed third in the State B in 1990. 
  • The single game State B tourney record of 40 by Josh Thorpe of Hecla -- Begeman's 48;
  • The three game State B tourney scoring record of 100 set by Eric Lappe-- Begeman's 103.

Isabel High Jump Record Broken

  • Bill Waddell's high jump record of 5'11" set in the early '60's was broken by Begeman's jump of 6'2" in 1997.
