On top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - our hotel was just off to the right of the 
bridge, so we had a view of the bridge and the Opera House from our hotel room.
The last night we were in Australia we went to a play at the Sydney Opera House.
 
 

On the Gold Coast, we  visited an animal park,  where we both got to pet a koala bear.  We weren’t allowed to hold them  since they had “joeys”  (little babies) in their  pouches.  We learned that adult koalas sleep at least 18 hours a day!

...................FromCairns,we   From Cairns, we took a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef.  We were amazed at the beauty of the corals and sea  life as we  snorkeled around the reef.

Maria took this picture of a sea turtle and swam  with him for at least half an hour!

Blue star fish, corals and other brightly colored fish 

were only several feet below the surface of the water.
